Being a co-op, our monthly tuition is lower than other schools because our families “work” at our school completing tasks that otherwise would have be hired out. Working in the classroom as “Teacher’s Aides” is one example. Another example is participating in our work parties. During work days, our families complete tasks such as sanitizing toys, tables and surfaces in the classrooms. Outside, they roto-till the sand and wood chips, paint equipment, pull weeds, wash windows etc. These are all tasks that are done for the safety of our kiddos. Each family is responsible for participating in two work days per year.
Remember these tips for your work party day...
- Wear appropriate clothing and shoes (get ready to get dirty and grimy!)
- Leave the kiddos at home..sharp tools, lawn equipment, bleach and kiddos do not mix!
- Check out our "to-do" list posted outside room 4 and 5. Bring any tools or equipment you think you will need.
- ??????? Please ask either myself or Amy in the office.
