Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Now that the turkey and pumpkin pie are in the past, it is time for.....GLITTER and all that sparkles.......
Why wait for the official start of December....we will kick off the holiday season this week.
On Monday, all classes will get together with Pastor Cindy in the sanctuary for a short time. This is where we are going to have our Christmas Pageant and we want everyone to be familiar and feel comfortable in the space prior to our big performance. Both of my classes will be singing the song "Jingle Bells". We will be practicing a lot so you might hear it often at home. Thank you in advance for your encouragement.
Christmas Pageant - Friday, December 9th 6:00-8:00
Come join us for an evening of carols song by the children of SUMC! Afterwards, enjoy milk and cookies in Burgess Hall.

It's Family Feast Week!
We will spend the weekend getting ready for our guests and preparing for the feast. Sound familiar? I hope to see you all at our celebration this week
MWF Class - Wednesday 11/23 - meet at 11:15 in room 2
T/Th Class - Tuesday 11/22 - meet at 11:00 in room 2
If you arrive after the times above, please meet us in Burgess Hall
Don't forget to bring your traditional family dish..enough to feed 8 people.
And most of all.....I find it hard to come up with the words to convey how thankful I am to have your children in my life. I feel so blessed to work at SUMC and be able to spend each day with families that love and cherish their children as you do. It is a choice that you make to send your children to our school. We as a staff recognize this and thank you for your confidence.
From my family to yours...Happy Thanksgiving!!

November 7-November 11th
Glad to see so many at our field trip last Friday. I hope everyone had a great time. If you did not make it and have never been to the Children's Museum of Phoenix, in a nutshell...you need to go! Next week, every cubbie will have a coupon good for one free child admission...take advantage!
With the weather dramatically cooler this next week, especially in the morning, your kiddo may come to school with a coat. Please label all extra articles of clothing with your student's last name. Feel free to grab a sharpie in the classroom.
No school this Friday, November 11th in honor of our Veterans. Thank you for your service!

Consider this your informal invite...a one of a kind version made by your kiddo will follow next week...
This is a tradition at SUMC that is one of my favorites. Thanksgiving is a time when we get together with family and friends, take time out to reflect on all things we are thankful for and EAT! This is your chance to get together with your SUMC family and share a dish that is traditional for your family this time of year. Whether it is an appetizer, side or dessert, we want to try it! Please bring enough to feed 8 people. Are Grandparents or other special relatives coming into town for the holiday? If so, we would love to have them join us. All we ask is that if extended family are planning to come, please consider bringing a little more to share.
RSVP's and sign-ups will be available next week.
Remember...No Stay n' Play on Family Feast days...(11/22 & 11/23)
